I am a Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science at University of Texas at Dallas.
My research examines the causes and consequences of marginalized groups’ political representation. I focus particularly on how the backgrounds and identities of political elites shape support for and resistance to gender and minority rights, with a regional emphasis on East Asia and comparative perspectives beyond the region.
I received my Ph.D. in Political Science from Texas A&M University in 2024. I also hold an M.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in Political Science and Economics from Korea University.
